There’s no point in selecting the best glove if it’s not the right glove.
Our SpecWare™ chemical handling guide will recommend a glove that will safely handle specific chemicals by providing permeation and degradation resistance information.
Specware™ is the Ansell unique chemical handling guide that provides recommendations supported by detailed test results on permeation and degradation performance for over 160 chemicals.
Specware™ addresses the first and most critical step in selection an appropriate glove. Which is to determine which glove compound or material is suitable for a particular chemical.
Be sure to clarify the basis of the recommendations made by Specware™. For example, the Nitrile glove used for testing degradation against all of the chemicals listed was a Sol-vex™ 37-145 which has a wall thickness of 0.28mm. Anything that is thinner than this, such as a disposable glove at 0.1mm, may not be suitable.
